Timtations Exceptional Artisan Inspired Ice Cream


Please be patient ~ our site is a work in progress.


With our product currently undergoing formulation and validation for commercial small batch production, our vision and our mission are crystal clear ~ Indulgence with Purpose.  At Timtations, we craft Exceptional Premium Plus Ice Cream that delights the senses and uplifts lives. We believe ice cream can be more than indulgence—it can be a platform for awareness, empathy, support and change.

 

 Hello, and thank you for being here.


My name is Tim, and Timtations is more than a brand to me — it’s a piece of my life, my story, and my hope for the future.


In 2013, I was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare neurodegenerative disease that changes everything it touches. Over the years, I’ve lost abilities, routines, and certainties I once took for granted. But I’ve also gained something unexpected; a deeper understanding of community, resilience, and the power of turning personal adversity into public good.


My journey has led me to publish four books, help build a global weekly virtual support group, and to advocate for families facing Atypical Parkinsonisms; PSP, CBD, MSA, and DLB — life-limiting neurodegenerative diseases that move quickly, receive too little attention, and place enormous strain on caregivers and families. Through all of this, one truth became impossible to ignore; these communities need more support, more awareness, and more hope than the current systems provides.


Timtations is my way of helping create that hope.

I’ve always loved ice cream — the creativity of it, the comfort of it, the way it brings people together. So I decided to take something joyful and turn it into something meaningful. Timtations is ice cream with intention. It’s crafted slowly, with care and imagination, and built on a mission that goes far beyond the freezer aisle.


As a socially conscious enterprise, a portion of our net profits supports research, caregiver respite, and community programs for people living with Atypical Parkinsonisms - PSP, CBD, MSA, and DLB. Every tub is a small act of solidarity. Every scoop helps lift families who are too often overlooked. And every purchase helps build a future where these diseases are better understood, better supported, and never faced alone.


My long‑term vision is simple; grow Timtations into a charitable foundation that continues giving long after I’m no longer here to steer it. A legacy of joy, purpose, and impact — built one batch at a time.


Thank you for being part of this journey. Whether you’re a customer, a caregiver or other loved one, a patient, a retailer, or someone who simply believes in the power of purpose‑driven work, your support means more than I can express.

Every scoop supports a meaningful mission at Timtations. Founded by Tim Brown, our artisan ice cream heritage fuels awareness and resources for nonprofits focused on neurodegenerative diseases. 

Timtations: A Purpose-Driven Legacy

The journey of Timtations began with a boyhood dream and a scoop of ice cream. Featured Presentations ~ Golden Pear and Ginger Walnut, Sweetheart Sundae, and From a Distance.

Living a Dream

In the late 1970s through the early 1990s, Tim Brown found himself living that dream as the manager and owner of a quick-service restaurant –Friendly's, in Toronto’s Eaton Centre.


Tucked inside was a scoop shop and a frozen yogurt bar, each offering customers a taste of creativity and comfort. While frozen yogurt opened doors for playful, personalized combinations, ice cream options at the time remained limited.


As Ben & Jerry’s was just beginning to shake up the dessert world in Vermont, Tim was quietly building a foundation of flavour and imagination in Canada.

A New Chapter

Fast forward, and Tim found himself embarking on an unexpected new chapter far removed from the food and hospitality industry – manufacturing. Then, in 2013, Tim’s path took a profound turn.


After receiving a diagnosis of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a rare and life-limiting progressive neurodegenerative condition, Tim stepped away from the manufacturing world and into the world of advocacy.


PSP, along with conditions like Corticobasal Syndrome (CBS), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), and Dementia with Lewy Bodies (DLB), are collectively known as Atypical Parkinsonism. Due to their early resemblance to Parkinson’s Disease, these conditions are often misdiagnosed, leaving patients and families seeking clarity and support.

Tim’s advocacy; to include publishing four books ~ The PSP Chronicles on his personal journey with PSP, shines a light on these misunderstood diseases, creating a lasting impact on the community.

Taking the Challenge to New Heights

With heart and determination, Tim began connecting with others affected by these conditions, building friendships and support networks through social media. Inspired by this growing community, he launched the PSP & CBD Ice Cream Challenge in 2015—an annual May tradition that invites people from all walks of life to share photos of themselves enjoying their favourite frozen dessert on Facebook and shared across other platforms, accompanied by hashtags like #IceCreamChallenge #ThinkIceCreamThinkPSPCBD.

In 2022, with his signature creativity and flair, Tim took the challenge to new heights. Amid the final year of the COVID-19 pandemic, he introduced Timtations, a handcrafted line of artisan ice creams designed especially for the campaign. 


With more than 100 unique recipes for development, Timtations reflects not only Tim’s lifelong love for ice cream but also his commitment to using joy as a catalyst for change.
